National Environmental Scorecard

LCV’s annual National Environmental Scorecard provides an objective, factual scoring of the voting records of all members of Congress on legislation in the areas of:

  • climate change
  • democracy
  • spending for environmental programs
  • environmental and racial justice
  • energy
  • public health
  • worker protections
  • public lands
  • wildlife conservation

Experts from environmental, environmental justice, and conservation organizations select the votes on which members of Congress are scored. These scores help distinguish which legislators are working for environmental protection.

Use this tool to find out how your officials scored and send them a thank you if they voted for a healthy planet — and if they didn’t, ask them to prioritize a healthy climate and democracy in the future.
