“We applaud the forty-three Democratic Senators who wisely opposed the nomination of Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State. As an executive and CEO at ExxonMobil, Tillerson has a deeply disturbing record on issues of U.S. foreign policy, human rights and environmental protection. He consistently put his stakeholders’ interests ahead of national policy, public health and safety.  As Secretary of State, he will bring unprecedented conflicts of interest and concerns over corporate influence in our government.  We are all in to ensure that the United States continues to meet its international climate commitments – and we will be watching Tillerson closely every step of the way.”
