Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect candidates who will support sound environmental policies, announced today its endorsement of Susie Lee for Congress (NV-03).
“Susie Lee has dedicated her life to helping communities and protecting our environment, so we’re thrilled she’s seeking public office and to endorse her campaign for Congress,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “She started her career working on environmental issues that ensured clean air and water for all. Lee will advocate for climate action, protecting our public lands and a clean energy economy. We need more conservation champions like Susie Lee in Congress.”
“Susie Lee is a strong leader who cares deeply about the community she serves,” said Executive Director of the Nevada Conservation League Andy Maggi. “Nevadans care deeply about expanding our clean energy economy, enjoy the recreational and economic benefits our parks and public lands provide here, and protecting clean air and clean water. These are values Lee will fight for and bring to Congress on day one.”
“It is an honor to receive the endorsement of the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund, an organization that shares my passion for environmental protection and conservation,” Lee said. “I began my career as an environmental consultant, am an avid outdoors woman, and have been a vocal proponent of conservation projects right here in Nevada, and I look forward to working with the League of Conservation Voters and its members to continue to advocate for our environment.”
Susie Lee began her career at an environmental consulting firm, working on water management policy, toxic release monitoring, Clean Air Act compliance, and helping to hold corporations accountable for environmental damages. An avid outdoorswoman, she has been an advocate for preserving our country’s vast natural resources and public lands. Lee has worked to protect the Basin and Range National Monument, serves as a lifetime member of the Protectors of Tule Springs, and preserving other special places in Nevada, like the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. In Congress, combating climate change, conserving our natural resources, and holding polluters accountable will be among her top priorities.
Lee is featured on LCV Action Fund’s GiveGreen website, the only website devoted exclusively to raising money for environmental champions for federal office. Last cycle, LCV Action Fund raised more direct contributions to candidates through GiveGreen than ever before—over $8.3 million for state and federal candidates.

In the 2015-2016 election cycle, LCVAF endorsed over 100 candidates and, since 2009, has raised and contributed more than $17.6 million dollars via GiveGreen.
