Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund congratulates Andrea Salinas and Val Hoyle on their Democratic primary victories.
“Andrea Salinas and Val Hoyle have strong records fighting to protect Oregon’s environment and we know they will continue this important work in Congress,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “Congratulations to both of these climate champions on their primary victories last night – we are all-in to make sure they win in November and continue the fight to protect Oregon’s communities from the devastating impacts of climate change.”
“Andrea Salinas and Val Hoyle are two phenomenal candidates who we know will fight hard for Oregon’s communities and our environment,” said Doug Moore, executive director of the Oregon League of Conservation Voters. “We are thrilled to see them come out victorious in the primary and look forward to more good news in November.”
LCV mobilized its members to volunteer with Andrea Salinas’s campaign and environmental donors contributed over $7,000 to these candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — has already raised a record $13.9 million for candidates in the 2022 cycle. Separately, LCV Victory Fund invested nearly $200,000 on an ad in support of Andrea Salinas (OR-06) leading up to the primary.
LCV Action Fund endorsed Andrea Salinas and Val Hoyle because of their record and commitment to fighting for climate, justice and jobs for all communities.
