LCV Celebrates President Biden’s Historic Climate Legacy

Sep 24, 2024

Washington D.C– In response to President Biden’s speech during Climate Week in New York City and the historic progress on climate his administration has made over the last four years, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) released the following statement from LCV President Gene Karpinski:

“President Biden is by far the most pro-environment, pro-climate president in the history of this country. Together with Vice President Kamala Harris, he has made unprecedented progress on climate and clean energy while bringing hundreds of thousands of good-paying, family-sustaining jobs to communities across the country, saving consumers money, improving public health, and revitalizing U.S. manufacturing. From the historic Inflation Reduction Act, to over 300 environmental safeguards, new national monuments, protections for America’s Arctic and our air and water, investments in environmental justice communities overburdened by pollution, and a pause on LNG export facilities–no administration has done more for the planet.

LCV is forever grateful to President Biden for his continued commitment to advancing a cleaner, healthier, more affordable energy future for the people of this country. As we move forward as a nation, we could not be more excited to advance and preserve President Biden’s legacy of protecting people, the planet, our democracy, and future generations.”
