Supreme Court Event with Senator Whitehouse, Activists from Key States

Capital Dinner with John Podesta, Katie McGinty and Tom Campion

Washington, DC — Lobby Day: On Wednesday, June 8, activists from 26 states will participate in the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Lobby Day on Capitol Hill.  With the largest number of states ever, the group will hold events and lobby elected officials on the nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, water infrastructure, attacks on clean air and the energy bill. 

Supreme Court Event: Senator Sheldon Whitehouse will join LCV and State LCVs from key states at a press event 12:00pm EDT in front of the Supreme Court, calling on senators to do their job and give Merrick Garland a fair hearing and a timely vote. 

Capital Dinner: In the evening, LCV will host its annual capital dinner featuring John Podesta, former counselor to President Obama and current Chair of Hillary for America.  This is a LCV membership event and media are required to RSVP in order to cover this event.
