Washington, DC: In response to the introduction from several House Republicans of a resolution calling for action on climate change, the League of Conservation Voters issued the following statement from Alex Taurel, Deputy Legislative Director:
“It is good to see more Republican Members of Congress acknowledging the science of climate change. In an era in which that science as well as action to address climate change are under assault by the president of the United States, the EPA administrator, and the Republican leadership in Congress, what is urgently needed now is robust opposition to their Big Polluter agenda and support for policies to reduce carbon pollution and transition swiftly to clean energy for the sake of our kids.”
