Washington, D.C. – In response to president-elect Donald Trump’s video released today previewing what actions he will take during his first 100 days in office, LCV Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld issued the following statement:

“Trump’s plan for his first one hundred days in office must have Big Polluters salivating.  According to his own video, it’s clear yet again that Trump’s energy policies are coming straight from polluting fossil fuel industries, which have long sought to protect their own profits at the expense of public health, clean air and clean water.  Moreover, it’s clear that he continues to ignore the overwhelmingly popular and far-reaching benefits of environmental protections. We will fight to defend both the recent progress in fighting the climate crisis and our cornerstone environmental protections at every step of the way.”
