Poll after poll shows that voters want to know how candidates would address the climate crisis, but a candidate having a plan is not always enough.

Former Governor John Hickenlooper (D-CO) rolled out a climate plan that ultimately “falls short” without a commitment or clear timeline to achieve net-zero emmissions nor a commitment for a just and equitable transition for communities most affected by climate change.

• Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) wants to account for the true costs of carbon pollution.
• Mayor Bill de Blasio (D-NY) and Congressman Tim Ryan (D-OH) signed the No Fossil Fuel Pledge.
• In Iowa, Governor Steve Bullock (D-MT) notes the impacts of climate change on rural communities.
• Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D-IN) talks climate in his foreign policy speech.
• Former Congressman John Delaney (D-MD) speaks on the Green New Deal on The View.
• Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) outlines the urgency and benefits of climate action for NowThis.
• Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) makes a clear case: climate “one of the most urgent reasons why we need a new president of the United States.”
• Governor Jay Inslee (D-WA) continues to push for a debate focused on climate change, and former Vice President Joe Biden (D-DE), joining many other candidates, expresses his support for it.
• In New Hampshire, Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) talks about her support for action on climate change.
• Congressman Seth Moulton (D-MA) tweets about the urgent need for action.
• Former Congressman Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) calls out President Trump for denying climate science.  
• Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) reiterates Day One plans on climate.
