A proposed designation of the Pacific Remote Islands as a National Marine Sanctuary would protect some of the last remaining healthy, wild ecosystems in the Pacific Ocean from destruction, while helping fulfill President Biden’s promise to conserve at least 30% of U.S. lands and waters by 2030.
