Washington D.C. – LCV Victory Fund congratulates Anthony Brindisi on winning the election to represent New York’s 22nd congressional district. LCV Victory Fund invested nearly $720,000 in the race.

“Anthony Brindisi will be a fighter for New York’s clean air and water,” said Gene Karpinski, LCV President. “We look forward to working with him to create new jobs and grow New York’s clean energy economy.”

LCV Victory Fund ran a TV ad in the district and named incumbent Claudia Tenney to the iconic Dirty Dozen because of her votes against environmental protections and public health.

Environmental donors contributed over $250,000 to New York candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund, NextGen America and the NRDC Action Fund PAC that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised a record $21 million for the 2018 cycle.

LCV Action Fund endorsed Brindisi because of his commitment to protecting the environment. LCV Action Fund also endorsed Joe Morelle, Paul Tonko, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who becomes the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.
