Washington, D.C. – With President Trump poised to deliver a speech today defending his dirty energy agenda and dangerous budget cuts that threaten our clean air and water, the League of Conservation Voters released a new national poll showing voters are tuned into the administration’s anti-environmental policies – and less favorable towards members of Congress who support Trump’s environmental agenda.
Here are the highlights:
“As the Trump administration continues to unravel essential protections for public health and our nation’s progress toward building a clean energy economy, voters are paying attention – and they’re not pleased,” said Gene Karpinski, President of LCV. “Members of Congress should take note as they vote on budget cuts that favor polluters over public health and take an axe to clean energy innovation. Standing with the Trump administration is standing with the dirty energy of the past, and voters don’t want to take our climate policy backwards.”
The poll was conducted by Garin-Hart-Yang Research & Global Strategy Group. A full breakdown of the results is available here.
