Ranking Member Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) sponsored an amendment to H.R. 1, the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), which would restore four bipartisan tax incentives focused on energy efficiency and clean energy that help lower energy costs for families, make housing more affordable, and support U.S. jobs. Preserving these credits would soften the blow of higher energy prices caused by the underlying bill, encourage upgrades to more efficient technologies, and support the continued growth of the clean energy economy. On July 1, the Senate rejected the Shaheen amendment by a vote of 49-51 (Senate roll call vote 366). YES IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
