Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) sponsored an amendment to H.R. 1, the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), which would maintain existing wind and solar tax incentives. These incentives have brought hundreds of billions of dollars in investments to clean energy facilities over the past three years, resulting in the creation of hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs. Removing these incentives would stymie the growing clean energy industry and result in higher energy costs for working families. On July 1st, the Senate rejected the Rosen amendment by a vote of 47-53 (Senate roll call vote 364). YES IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE. The president signed H.R. 1, the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill Act, into law on July 4th.
