Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD) sponsored an amendment to H.Con.Res. 14, the Senate Budget Resolution, to establish a deficit-neutral reserve fund that protects federal employees collective bargaining agreements and the right to organize. The right to organize and bargain collectively is integral to ensuring that federal workers maintain fair, safe, and equitable workplaces. It also ensures that federal programs and services are effectively and adequately staffed to best serve the public interest. On April 4, the Senate rejected the Alsobrooks amendment by a vote of 48-51 (Senate roll call vote 175). YES IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
