Representative Nita Lowey (D-NY) sponsored H.R. 6201, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. This bill provided a second wave of supplemental funding to respond to the coronavirus pandemic only just fully impacting the country. Much of this funding included emergency SNAP benefits, COVID testing for veterans and Indigenous communities, and partially paid family and sick leave. The House approved H.R. 6201 by a vote of 363-40 (House roll call vote 102). YES IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
