Representative Craig Goldman (R-TX) sponsored H.R. 4758, the so-called Homeowner Energy Freedom Act, which would remove federal incentives and workforce training programs that help households adopt cost-saving energy technologies and support the training for workers who install them. These programs lower the upfront costs for energy efficiency upgrades, reduce families’ monthly bills, and build the skilled workforce for in-demand clean energy jobs. On February 25, the House approved H.R. 4758 by a vote of 210–199 (House roll call vote 78). NO IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
