Representative Scott Perry (R-PA) sponsored an amendment to H.R. 4553, the Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for FY26, which would eliminate funding for the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing (ATVM) Loan Program. ATVM facilitates domestic manufacturing and production of advanced, efficient vehicles and their related components, thus helping reduce emissions, strengthen U.S. supply chains, and create clean energy jobs. On September 3, the House rejected the Perry amendment by a vote of 140-286 (House roll call vote 230). NO IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
