Representative Reid Ribble (R-WI) offered an amendment to H.R. 2406, the Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreational Enhancement (SHARE) Act of 2015, which would legislatively remove federal protections for gray wolves in Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Additionally, this amendment includes a “no judicial review” clause that would limit the ability of citizens to further challenge future wolf delisting decisions; even while the appeals process of two previous federal court decisions are still underway. On February 26, the House approved the Ribble amendment by a vote of 232-171 (House roll call vote 97). NO IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
