Federal Environmental Pesticide Control Act of 1971 (HR 10729). Vote is on another amendment by Rep. Dow to ensure that any citizen, not only the manufacturers, had standing in court to bring suit to challenge EPA’s regulation of pesticides. The Nixon Administration supported the pesticides bill as written by the House Agriculture Committee and lobbied against the amendment. (Rejected 167-209. Nov. 9, 1971. “Yes” is the correct vote.)
