Department of Transportation Appropriations bill for fiscal 1971 (HJ Res 468). The vote is on the Yates amendment to delete $134 million for prototype supersonic transport planes (the SST). The Nixon Administration supported the SST and therefore opposed the Yates amendment. (Adopted 217-204. March 18, 1971. “Yes” is the correct vote.)
