Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) sponsored H.R. 764, the so-called Trust the Science Act, which would direct the secretary of the Interior to reissue a 2020 rule that inappropriately stripped the gray wolf of Endangered Species Act (ESA) protections in 44 states. The bill would bar judicial review of the secretary’s action, delist the wolf, set a dangerous anti-wildlife and anti-fair process precedent, and compromise the integrity of the ESA. On April 30, the House approved H.R. 764 by a vote of 209-205 (House roll call vote 169). NO IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE. The Senate took no action on this legislation.
